For never was a tale of more woe ...
Her hair hung over her eyes in a dull fashion, as if she did not care who saw her at the moment, generally she would be up and about, making plans .. getting others to fulfill those plans. But her attitude had been on a somewhat low lately. She had locked herself in her room for two days, not a record by far, but still she looked a little more pale than she usually did. Though she obviously still held that fire which had been passed down in her family for generations. Nightmares had haunted her the past week, she had woken up sweating every night, huddled like a little girl with her knees cradled to her chest .. hoping for someone to put their arms around her and say 'everythings going to be alright'. But nobody ever came, those words never were spoken. It was one of the things about being solitary, you didn't need that kind of comfort .. it wasn't wanted.
She circled the top of her glass with her left index finger, silently pondering to herself. Though no real thoughts went through her head, the bar was near empty. It being nearign midnight and all the smart people were at home with their families or their servants. She and the bar tender were the only ones who remained int he silent, cold bar. The lamps flickering, threatening to go out. The Barman said nothing, he was concentrating on cleaning the glasses and dusting the bottles on the shelves, making everything look pristine and perfect. She brought the glass to her lips, closing her eyes breifly and letting the taste of the beer settle in her mouth for a second, before actually swallowing it. It was the cheap kind of beer, she wasn't one who would waste alot of money on drinks unless it was a special occasion that called for it.
She stood up, her black jeans coupled with her black top made those who knew her aware that tonight she had been out on the streets. Nobody knew what she did, only a select few of close friends .. although she didn't have many friends. Only aquaintances, she didn't know why she had never wanted to become close to anyone, it always ruined something in the end. She coughed slightly as the door opened, the cold air filling the already cold bar, her arms had goosebumps on them, she sighed and hugged her arms, as if trying to bring back the warmth in her body. She barely gave a glance to whoever walked into the bar, it was not her concern, normaly however she would be very intrigued as to who else would walk into this particular bar at midnight. But it was probably merely somebody coming back from a nights work. It happened.
Than that of Juliet and her Romeo...
